The Oliver Model 600 Drill Point Grinder is the ideal machine for sharpening large diameter bits from 1/2" to 3" (76 mm), with the option to increase the maximum drill size to 4" (102 mm). The machine easily handles two flute, three flute and four flute drill bits. Variable included point angels are readily obtained and variable clearance or lip relief angles can be dialed in. The geometry that is best suited for your manufacturing procedures can be added to your drills easily and quickly.
A revolving chuck and oscillating grinding wheel spindle are coordinated with a direct gear positive drive. All of the movements involved with sharpening are automatic.
The Model 600 Automatic Drill Grinder is supplied with an airdraulic infeed unit that allows the operator to select the rate of infeed and the total amount of stock removal. This feature, combined with the automatic grinding cycle, permits the unit to function without an operator once the loading and operating sequence has been completed. This eliminates the chance of operator error that comes with swing grinding large bits. The machine is also supplied with a tank, pump, splash guards and piping to provide coolant to the grinding area. |

| OLIVER MODEL 700 AUTOMATIC DRILL GRINDER |

The Model 700 Automatic Drill Point Grinder combines the excellent features of the Oliver 600 drill point grinder and adds a pushbutton control, making the machine totally automatic. The Model 700 can produce the popular double angle point which consists of automatic self-centering, generated helical and corner bevel point grinds. The operator can choose any of these three points. There is no costly setup to grind drills, no cam changes or grinding wheel changes for different type points. Closer hole tolerance, better wall finish, burr-free holes during the drill break through will be realized along with longer lasting drills because of the variable clearance and adjustable point angles for different materials. Spade drills can be ground in their own holder which gives much closer tolerances compared to conventional methods.
The Model 700 Automatic Drill Point Grinder is supplied with a pushbutton control panel. This operator console panel includes pushbuttons for controlling the cycle of the machine. Features also include an automatic infeed for regulating the amount of stock to be ground from the drill. |
